Bethesda
Bethesda Softworks，LLC，是一家美国游戏发行商，并且为Zenimax Media 的子公司。公司于1986年始创于美国马里兰州的Bethesda（Bethesda，Maryland），并且于1990年迁址至马里兰州Rockville（Rockville，Maryland）。旗下有诸多不同题材和类型的游戏发系列，包括角色扮演（RPG），竞速，模拟类和体育类型等。2020年9月21日，微软宣布收购了B社母公司ZeniMax。
公司由Christopher Weaver于1986年始创于Maryland Bethesda，然后在1990年搬迁至Rockville。公司在此阶段开发了很多PC和命令行游戏。在1999年，公司创始人Weaver和Robert Altman成立了ZeniMax，Inc。
Bethesda是游戏物理引擎的开拓者和先驱者，其于1986年在Commodore Amiga和Commodore 64/128平台开发出了具有物理引擎的模拟游戏Gridiron！。
公司广为人知的系列当属上古卷轴（The Elder Scrolls）系列。游戏基于原创自Jullian Lefay的程序。系列第一章，上古卷轴：竞技场（The Elder Scroll：Arena），发布于1994年。自那时起，系列一直延续至今。系列正传续作：匕首雨（DaggerFall），晨风（MorrowWind），湮没（Oblivion），天际（SkyRim）分别于1996，2002，2006，2011年发布。并以其一贯的高超水准，曲折剧情，丰满任务，宏大历史而闻名于世。而且游戏也开创了DLC收费的先河（Oblivion，2002）。并且其中发布了3部外传（衍生作）：战斗神塔Battlespire（1997），Redguard（1998）和The Elder Scroll Travels系列。Bethesda Softworks 也发布了改编自著名电影的游戏作品：终结者（The Terminator），星际迷航（Star Trek）和加勒比海盗（The Pirates of the Caribbean）.虽然上述作品褒贬不一。
2004年。Bethesda Softworks 从Interplay Productions接手了辐射（FallOut）系列，并由Bethesda Game Studio 开发了辐射3（FallOut3）。游戏发行于2008年10月28日。其后于次年（2009年）陆续发布了5个DLC：Operation：Anchorage，The Pitt，Broken Steel，Point Lookout 和Mothership Zeta。之后辐射又交由黑曜石娱乐（Obsidian Entertainment‘s）开发了新作辐射：新维加斯（Fallout：New Vegas）并发布于2010年。
Bethesda Softworks在此阶段也扩展了自己的品牌版图。发行了诸如Wet，Rogue Warrior和Splash Damage's Brink等游戏。
在2009年6月24日。Bethesda的母公司ZeniMax Media起诉了id Software，起因是id旗下包括狂怒（Rage）在内的由id Tech 5游戏引擎开发的游戏都应由Bethesda Softworks发行。其后 Bethesda Softworks胜诉。
2020年9月21日，微软宣布收购了B社母公司ZeniMax。
2022年3月，Bethesda为“Spyteam”申请了2022年的商标。
2022年4月15日，微软旗下开发商 B 社（Bethesda）早些时候宣布，将在4月关闭在 2016 年推出的自家游戏启动器和游戏商城，并“迁移到 Steam”。官方公布了迁移的具体细节信息，迁移将于4月27日开始。
2024年5月，微软于宣布关闭旗下三个 Xbox 游戏工作室，其中包括Bethesda Softworks工作室。7月3日消息，微软 Xbox 部门本周将进行新一轮裁员。
